AI Data Analyst Intern

Amber is a long-term accommodation booking platform for students, operating globally with millions of units. As an AI Data Analyst Intern, you will work on real analytical projects for business, operations, and product teams using AI workflows. The role is based on-site in Pune for a duration of 6 months.

What you'll do

• Own project-specific analyses for business, operations, or product teams.
• Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries using AI assistants and validate every result.
• Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau or Power BI to track key metrics.
• Use AI chatbots and coding tools to explore data, automate reporting, and prototype tools.
• Find patterns and gaps in data and turn them into clear recommendations.
• Present insights to stakeholders in a structured way.
• Document prompts, workflows, and automations for the team.

What they ask for

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on SQL skills including joins, aggregations, and window functions.
• Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
• Regular, hands-on use of AI chatbots and basic experience with an AI coding tool.
• Have built something of your own using AI such as an app, script, dashboard, or analysis.
• Habit of checking AI output against source data.
• Ability to work independently and meet timelines.

Good to have

• Python (pandas) for analysis.
• Familiarity with APIs, MCP, or connecting AI tools to data sources.
• Experience with Metabase, GA4, or product analytics tools.
