AI Engineering Intern – LLMs, Voice AI & Digital Avatars

Trovex.ai is an AI-powered Sales Readiness and Performance Enablement platform that builds tools for frontline sales teams using conversational AI and digital avatars. They are looking for curious and hands-on AI Engineering Interns to experiment with emerging AI technologies and develop production-ready features.

What you'll do

• Build applications using LLMs such as OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Claude and open-source models.
• Experiment with and integrate Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech technologies for voice conversations.
• Explore and integrate AI avatar technologies for interactive digital human experiences.
• Develop AI-powered conversational agents, role-play simulations and intelligent virtual assistants.
• Design, test and optimize prompts, system instructions and conversational workflows.
• Build APIs, integrate AI services and develop backend components for AI-powered applications.
• Evaluate new AI models, frameworks, APIs and tools to improve product capabilities and latency.
• Rapidly build functional prototypes and convert successful experiments into scalable product features.

What they ask for

• Strong programming fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Basic understanding of LLMs, Generative AI and prompt engineering.
• Hands-on experience using APIs from OpenAI, Gemini, Claude or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON and backend development.
• Understanding of basic concepts in machine learning and NLP.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and collaborative development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Students pursuing B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, MCA or related degrees in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Good to have

• Experience with LLM Frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face.
• Experience with STT/TTS tools like Google Speech-to-Text, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, or Azure Speech Services.
• Experience with AI Avatar platforms like HeyGen, D-ID, Tavus, or Simli.
• Experience with Voice AI Frameworks such as LiveKit, Vapi, or Pipecat.
• Experience with AI Infrastructure like Google Cloud Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, or Azure AI.
